Bond Issuance Models: Waffle Model vs Bird Model

Liquidity exists on Sienna and Secretswap. I think the idea is that Shade bonds is not an improvement on the existing liquidity economics.

So i will ask again. What is it that is being proposed in place? What is the ideal solution? I see a lot of problems being brought up. And there is nothing wrong with pointing out things you see a concern with. Thatā€™s part of the point of our community. But another very large point is to find solution.

Personally, I like to at least try to put forth an example of a solution if i am going to call out things i see as issues. It just makes for more constructive feedback.

The way i read a lot of the above (now it is text so i canā€™t infer emotion behind it, and can be wrong) is bonds are bad. that the idea of bonds is harmful, bad, no value, unneeded. I see things like, we donā€™t even need a dex. But i donā€™t see those same people offering alternatives.

Let me clarify again. Itā€™s ok to disagree, itā€™s ok to point out concerns. That is literally how we as a community can grow stronger, better, and bigger. But can i ask for people to add some constructive feedback with the call out of concerns as well?

Personally. I like what i see on bonds. Moreover, reading carters thoughts on the hollistic persective, i agree with it. Mind you, im loong here, Iā€™m looking at 5 to 10 years, not end of year.

I think the dao and protocol should have an amount of liquidity that is entirely to ensure that the products run even if the farmers cash out. Because if we canā€™t ensure the products run, we are always beholden to mercenary LP. (I farm, and i do it for profit, not for charity. None of the others do either. Dont bet on them in perpetuity) Thatā€™s just good business. Ensuring future capacity to operate.

But Iā€™m open to other ideas and tweeks. I just want to see some alternatives pitched so it can become a conversation around different aspects, rather than a focus on what someone doesnā€™t like.

Is there a better idea in how to ensure our core defi products continue to run in worst case scenarios and long into the future?

It looks like you saw the other post but just for other readers, I did post a response to the holistic strategy, expanded on my position in regards to treasury management and dex liquidity, and proposed alternative solutions in my reply here: Shade Protocol - Strategy, Moat, Sustainability, & Protocol As A Service (PaaS) - #4 by ChristianA

I will say, culturally, your insistence that we focus on solutions rather than just complaints is a very good thing and I would like to see more of that from everyone.

Yes I did see it and will revisit once time allows.

I will say already that I do appreciate the constructive feedback included to the response in the other thread. :handshake:
