Meet the Community!

Hi Bois’n Gurls!

I’m Mirko. Crypto-Nerd since 2013 :). In ATOM since it hit the Exchanges. @SchmirgelMC on Twitter

Love the community. And my top pick in the cosmoverse since it was airdropped, is Shade. Love the idea of SILK.

I’m glad LUNA separated the wheat from the chaff with the two-way mint burn mechanism ^^". Shade and SILK will be there to stay!

Cheers

Hello all,

My name is Derric I work as am Engineer for a large tech company and also run my own blockchain infrastructure company and am currently building my own data center. I have been following Bitcoin since 2014 and working in crypto since Dec. 2020

I am a lifelong PC gamer. Started with a Texas Instruments TI-99/4A in the 80’s and played my first online game called a MUD (multi-user dungeon) on a UNIX green screen terminal. Currently play strategy games like Stellaris and also enjoy MTG and LOL. Other than computers I also enjoy Crossfit, MTBiking and Tennis.

Recently I have been teaching myself Rust and Golang programming. I enjoy learning Linux and working from the CLI and using VIM. I type on ortholinear keyboards with super loud clicky switches.

Looking forward to the release of SILK as I prefer to have control of my own assets and look forward to being able to use it for real world payments one day.

Hi friends. Harsha here, Twitter handle: @Bmhsk_

Hi my name is Kees @cavey65 from the Netherlands.
Started in crypto and 2017.
Invested in Luna pretty early on as I thought a decentralized stablecoin is essential for Web 3
(The government can mess with centralized stables as USDT)
Lost half of my portfolio in May and another 20% with Celsius…
But after seeing the whiteboard presentation I am sure Shade learned from Luna’s mistakes conserning collateral and add privacy to the transactions.

Hi everyone, I feel pretty late to this thread but here goes:

I’m a developer who’s been using predominately Rust since 2017 with sprinkles of C here and there. This was mainly in the context of Embedded Linux applications and ARM/AVR firmware.

However, in 2021 I discovered I could also write smart contracts with my favorite programming language and not only that but they could be private (and therefore actually useful :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:). I spent most of the year watching from the sidelines, reading the open source code published by the various teams on SN until eventually making some peripheral contributions to Shade Protocol and getting to know the incredible team.

Now I’ve finally taken the leap and gone full time SN smart contract dev, just as the bear market starts :muscle:. Anyway, I am unfazed and hope to continue contributing to Shade and the SN ecosystem as a whole over the coming years.

Away from the computer, I am an avid rock climber (lets face it: 99% indoor bouldering gyms), hiker and aspiring cyber gypsy (campervan + laptop).

I also have a (probably unhealthy) fascination with auctions and how useful they could be in the DeFi space, especially on SN where you have the potential for sealed bids . I’m sure you’ll get sick of hearing about them in my posts.

Hello everyone and namaste y’all
My name is lucas and i co-create educational crypto content on YouTube- we like to focus on the most innovative projects and those with a long-term value propositions as well as macro economics and the crypto-connections. We cover developments all over crypto to reach more communities and stay abreast of the latest, but we definitely focus on Secret Network and many of the dApps as we feel privacy is undervalued and paramount for healthy DeFi and blockchain growth. We hope to improve our quality of production so we can better spread the good news and developments  Good vibes to all <3

Hello, all. I am the Paraplegic Racehorse (discord: pararace). Outside of crypto I am a professional sailor and amateur beekeeper and privacy advocate. I’ve been in crypto, mining and investing, since 2016. Interestingly, I’ve only been into privacy-tokens since 2019. Reason: It’s just d__n hard to do anything with XMR! The launch of SCRT, and development of many of the projects, is supercool and I’m looking forward to what comes next.
