I am BiologistCrypto Twitter Handle from Australia. I have been investing/trading a basket of Assets such as properties, stocks, managed fund, ETF, Forex…etc in various markets e.g. USA, HK and Australia since 2005. Since 2018, I have been investing in cryptocurrency. My investment motto is “Diversification is the key 
in managing risk in investment”.
Last year, when I come across Shade Protocol’s white paper, I am intrigued by the diversification nature of SILK. Unlike other stablecoins that only pegged to a single currency, SILK is pegged to a basket of assets. This perfectly aligned with my motto. In addition, as SILK and SHD will be on secret network, people’s privacy will be protected. Last but not least, SILK will also have a real-life use case, that is SILK pay. This is exciting because majority of the stablecoins (e.g USDC or USDT ) are pegged to USD. For me who live outside US, it is hard to make use of these stablecoins in daily life as I need to convert them back to AUD before purchasing goods or products. SILK won’t have this problem I think as it will be pegged to a basket of assets, thus minimising the risk of currency rate fluctuations. This makes SILK goes global and could compete with major payment systems such as Alipay, Google pay or Apply pay.

Thanks for the nice welcome and introduction. I am @rchu61 and started my crypto journey last year! Since that time, I have explored a few different aspects of blockchain technology. I am a passionate believer and fully convinced that it will disrupt the future with all of the real world applications it can be applied to. I have been a follower of #Secret Network since I ventured into crypto having read about it in an article.
I heard about Shade through the Secret Network. I am excited by Shade Protocol and Silk despite recent negative outcomes of a billion dollar platform and its stablecoin. I have read some of the documentation and thinking behind Silk, and other features applicable to defi.
Despite being a little anxious when I first started in crypto, I continued and so I lived my own personal motto of overcoming fear!
In real life, my background is Business Management and Marketing although after migrating to Australia from the Philippines, I have entered government service and have been in that space for over 30 years - over 20 years of that was in the Incident Management and Emergency Response section of my Department.
In my spare time, I enjoy Tai Chi, Kayaking, Hiking and Travelling to interesting places.
I look forward to being involved and hopefully also make a little back. In the meantime, I congratulate you and the Shade team on bringing this to the community and to the world!

Started investing in crypto in 2020, mostly BTC and ETH but quickly broadened out to the Cosmos ecosystem and Polkadot.
Privacy is often something that is overlooked, just like decentralisation was sacrificed for faster and cheaper fees on chains such as Solana. Very looking forward to Shade taking over as people realise the importance of privacy and a private stablecoin.
